Energy Storage

EC Environmental provided accurate visualisations of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Wisbech Norfolk in support of an LVIA. The visualisations portray the site pre-development; at Year 1 when the site becomes operational and the landscape scheme has not yet matured; and at Year 10 when the mitigation planting has started to reach maturity and provide a level of screening of the development.

Solar Farm

EC Environmental provided the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment for a large 35MW solar farm in rural Yorkshire, one of the largest at the time. The solar farm was successfully integrated into the existing landscape through the retention and enhancement of existing hedgerows, new lengths of native hedgerows and adequate landscape buffers to local heritage assets to preserve their setting. The solar farm was then enclosed in a band of extensive species rich wildflower meadow delivering valuable foraging and habitat for pollinators and other invertibrates.

Bedfordshire

Residential

EC Environmental provided an LVIA and Landscape Planning advise for a small but much needed housing development in rural Bedfordshire.  A robust LVIA is key part in ensuring that developments of all sizes and scales get through planning. With our input this development will in time deliver much needed housing locally in a sensitive location through a well considered approach in laying out of built form and respecting local character as well as strengthening the landscape fabric surrounding the site.
